I got this set as my first ever plastic modelling kit for my birthday, and I totally loved it. There is a huge variety of sets to make, form the diorama to the figures and I could not stop making the kits!
I would recommend this to anybody who is slightly interested in plastic model kits, and (as I've experienced) it is an amazing gift for any 10+ child!

I am a 12 year old boy who enjoys building airfix kits. I bought this kit as a change from building single planes and various military vehicles. (my favourite being the ah-64 longbow apache gunship) when i got it in january i thought it was going to be really hard.3 months later i finished it and it looks really good, i am really pleased. The bits are a bit fiddly and i lost one or two pieces in my nans floorboards but i really enjoyed the experience. 10/10 i reccomend this to over 11s with lots of patience. Happy modelling!!

Coming from a tradition of Lego and its build quality this Airfix kit is an obvious step-down. The price is better but you'd need to be pretty dedicated to the fiddly assembly required. The plastic quality if poor relative to Lego and this can take getting use to - still an entertaining toy and value for money.
